Chilli Jar

An essential condiment for dishes with rice or fish. This preserve can last for months with its flavor enhancing with age. Be sure to keep topping up with vinegar to keep all chillies submerged after use.

Once prepared, leave a week to sit in a cool dry place before eating.

  • 150g birds eye chillies
  • 1 x brown onion
  • 1 x lemon
  • top up with brown vinegar

CHILLI ingredients


1. Dice and slice all your ingredients and place into a jar with a tight lid.

CHILLI jar2. Pour in brown vinegar and fill to cover all ingredients. Make sure you shake the bottle a little to get rid of empty crevices or bubbles, then top up again with vinegar.

CHILLI pour3. Secure lid on tight and leave to sit for a week. Once opened, make sure you shake/stir and refrigerate.
